I’m Joe Rhodes. I’m a computer professional living in Madison WI. I’ve been working with Macintosh computers since 1993, and supporting them since 1995. I’ve been professionally supporting Macs since 1999 and started my own company in 2001. I’ve also been a Linux system administrator and active user since 1998.
I’m a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a degree in Communication. It has always amazed me how useful this degree has been when dealing with computers and the people who use them. In retrospect, it’s turned out to be far more advantageous than a degree in Computer Science.
I really enjoy technology, but even more so, I enjoy enabling my clients to get the benefits of technology without having to know all the bits and bytes. I strongly believe that computer systems should require a minimum amount of care and feeding. These are tools, and you should be able to spend your time using them productively, not tending to the tools themselves.
I have some of the best clients in Wisconsin (and some in Illinois and California). I am honored by the incredible folks I get to work with. I work very hard to see that they enjoy our business relationship as well. When it’s all said and done, it’s not about the machines, it’s about the people.
